Established in 1934 during the Great Depression, Purax Feather Holdings has remained a proudly local business, deeply rooted in Australian craftsmanship.

For over 50 years, the business has been owned by the Katsios family. Bill Katsios, who began working at the factory while still in school, later became its full owner. After four decades of leadership, he passed the business to his children, ensuring the legacy continued.

Purax has supplied premium feather and down products to retailers both nationally and internationally for nearly 90 years. Since the mid-90s, our product range has expanded to include mattress toppers, and pillows.

As one of the only feather and down processing facilities left in Australia, Purax Feather Holdings not only supplies hotels and retailers but is also a leading manufacturer for many well-known bedding brands.
